LANDSCAPE DESIGN SERVICES

Beau Jardin Landscape Design can design you a beautiful garden, swimming pool, decking or paved area, water features – basically anything to do with the outdoors.

Getting your garden redone or getting a new swimming pool can be quite daunting, stressful and most of the time, a costly exercise. As most of us have little experience in the garden arena, planting a tree in the wrong spot can cause you problems down the track. or building a costly retaining wall may not have been the right solution. Engaging a qualified Landscape Designer for your residential landscape project not only makes sense for the overall design aspect of your project, but have the qualifications, experience, and the required insurances a landscape contractor wouldn’t generally have. Professional Indemnity insurance is a requirement to practice as a Landscape Designer in NSW.

It is considered in the Landscape industry a conflict of interest to do both the design and the construction, on same projects. How do you know, if an expensive retaining wall was required, or was it to give the landscape contractor more work?

Next time you start your next Landscape project, ask if your Landscape Designer is qualified, has the experience and has all the required insurances.

The process starts with an initial consultation on the proposed site to discuss your requirements and to formulate a client brief. This will usually take around an hour, depending on the size of the project.

From there, we return to the design studio to start the design process. We will send you our Landscape Design Proposal outlining everything that we discussed in the initial consultation with all the design fees included for your landscape project.

Depending on the site, it may be required to engage a surveyor for a Contour Plan prior to the commencement of any design works. We can organise the surveyor for you if required, and they are usually only needed for larger or sloping properties.

From there, we will develop a Site Plan, showing existing structures, trees and garden beds with vegetation etc. Now, this is where the fun starts. With the computer software that we use, we will design in detail, an accurate representation of what your new garden will look like. We don’t go too far though, we like to have a couple of meetings along the way, to make sure that we are still on track to delivering you a plan set ready for construction and / or Council Development Application DA.

Most of our plans are drawn using Auto cad, design software which is used across the board in Architectural and Engineering industries. We also have the experience and can work in with your local council to get your landscape project or swimming pool construction approved by council.
